Tech4EveryJuan
Modern Bayanihan Movement

Restoring donated laptops, tablets, and smartphones for Filipinos who need them most

Bringing Two Realities Together

The Problem

Across the Philippines, many Filipinos are being left behind in a digital world for one simple reason: They do not have a reliable device.

The Opportunity

Millions of laptops and tablets sit unused in homes, offices, and storage rooms. They still work. They still have value. They simply need a second chance.

Our Mission

Tech4EveryJuan exists to bring these two realities together.

It is a movement built on modern bayanihan, where communities help one another by restoring devices and giving them a second life in the hands of Filipinos who need them most.

How It Works

A simple process powered by community collaboration

1

Donate

People donate devices they no longer use

2

Restore

Others help restore them to working condition

3

Support

Communities support the effort together

4

Empower

Filipinos gain tools to learn and move forward

Why We Start With Public School Learners

20.9M

Learners enrolled in public elementary and secondary schools

1.8M

School computers nationwide - mostly shared in classrooms

Many students struggle in computerized exams - first time using a mouse

Without a personal device, students fall behind

Learning no longer happens only inside classrooms. Because of classroom shortages and post-pandemic adjustments, many students now experience blended learning.

This is not a lack of intelligence.

It is a lack of access.

Students Don't Need the Latest

They Need Something That Works

High-quality devices are being left unused

Across homes and offices, laptops that were built well sit idle simply because they are no longer the newest model. Meanwhile, many programs continue to purchase brand-new but low-quality devices that struggle with real learning tasks from day one.

What We Mean by High-Quality Devices

High-quality does not mean brand new. And it does not mean expensive. For Tech4EveryJuan, a high-quality device is one that is built to last, capable of handling real learning tasks, compatible with modern tools, and reliable enough for daily use both in school and at home.

Currently prioritizing:

MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models from around 2015 and later. After restoration, they consistently meet our standards for performance, durability, and long-term value.

As the movement grows, we are open to restoring devices from other manufacturers as long as they meet the same standards. Our focus is not the logo on the device, but how well it serves a learner over time.

Proof That Quality Matters More Than Age

Tech4EveryJuan's founder, RG, built the early version of Youdah using a 2013 MacBook Pro and later a 2015 MacBook Air given by a cousin, paired with free generative AI tools.

✓ The laptop was nearly a decade old

✓ It was not fast by modern standards

✓ But it worked

It supported design, writing, planning, and early product development well enough to build a real tech startup.

If a high-quality device can help build a company, imagine what the same kind of tool can do for a learner who has never had one of their own.

Why Restoration Makes More Sense

More Impact

One new entry-level laptop equals limited impact. The same resources can often restore several high-quality devices.

Less Waste

Nothing usable goes to waste. Devices unsuitable for students are valuable for parts and responsible recycling.

Better Use

We restore carefully and distribute responsibly. Every device is tested before it reaches a learner.

This is practical. This is efficient.

This is modern bayanihan in action.

Environmental Impact and Why Timing Matters

50 Million Tonnes

of electronic waste are produced every year worldwide.

That is roughly the weight of over 20,000 jumbo jets, or hundreds of 100-storey buildings made entirely of discarded electronics.

Less than 20% of this waste is formally recycled

The Quiet Ending

Most devices don't break right away. They sit unused for years. Batteries degrade. Value is lost. Eventually, many are thrown away.

Restoration changes that outcome.

By intervening early, Tech4EveryJuan keeps working technology in use and gives it a chance to make a real difference in someone's life.

Our Flagship Program

FreeTech4School

We provide free, restored devices to public school students who do not have access to their own technology.

Each unit is carefully tested and prepared so students can use it immediately for schoolwork, both in class and at home.

Current Focus:

2015+ MacBook Pro
2015+ MacBook Air
iPad 6th Gen+
iPhone X or later

These models have been carefully selected because they are proven to be stable, durable, and powerful enough to support learning for several more years.

One reliable device can change how a student learns.
